What do you think about life? On a scale of
1-10 (10 being "crazy wonderful!" and 1 being "the worst
possible thing that has ever happened to me"), where do you
place life on such a scale? Next question: Where would you like
your life to fall on the 1-10 scale?
The first question is fairly easy. The
second question is often not so easy to answer. We feel locked
into our assessments. We aren't really locked in to them, but we
often feel locked in. Here's a
suggestion that can't hurt anyone but has the potential of transforming
at least a part of your self awareness. If you didn't place life
as a "10" but you'd like to live life as a "10" say
these words as often as you think of them for ONE day,
"I know how to live
life as a "10" and I do it."
Say them more than one day if you feel inclined.
Say them until they are absolutely true if you
feel ready.
Whether you say them one day, several days or until they are fulfilled,
those words will have a powerful impact on your experience of yourself.
